Shane Allessio plays a wide variety of music... as long as it swings! Between booming pizzicato and swinging arco his bass sound is visceral and raw. Compositionally he blends the classic sounds and styles of Jelly Roll, Duke and Mingus with modern sensibilities. His quartet includes Bill Jones on tenor sax, Christopher M Brown on guitar and Thomas Arey on drums.
